It was Katniss who proposed to Peeta. He came home one Tuesday after work and there was a letter waiting for him. Katniss wrote what she wasn't able to say without crying. She used the words "be mine" instead of "marry me". She thought that after all the acting they've been through, she should keep things simple this time.
Katniss never got over her nightmares. In fact, after the rebellion, they started to be about Prim. But whenever they came, she reached her hand out to check if Peeta was still there. He always was.
